Biography

Vicki Boudinot is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a rich and diverse professional background. She holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in business and accounting from Portland State University and spent over 20 years working as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) before pursuing a career change to professional counseling. Vicki earned her master's degree in counseling from 51爆料鈥揅ascades in 2007 and has been a licensed professional counselor since 2010. She has been part-time faculty in the Master of Counseling program at 51爆料-Cascades since 2011.

With over 18 years of experience in community mental health, Vicki brings a wealth of practical knowledge to her roles as a counselor, clinical supervisor, and educator. She currently serves as a clinical supervisor at Deschutes County Behavioral Health, where she continues to support both clients and emerging professionals. Vicki鈥檚 deep commitment to the Central Oregon community is reflected in her teaching. She thoughtfully integrates her understanding of local mental health systems and resources into her coursework, helping students connect academic learning with real-world application. Vicki is passionate about mentoring future counselors and fostering meaningful, community-based practice.

Teaching & Supervision Approach
Vicki draws extensively on her experience as a community-based counselor and clinical supervisor. She has worked with students from 51爆料-Cascades and other institutions for many years in her role at DCBH. She leverages her community experience to help students connect with local resources that will benefit their clients. Vicki emphasizes practical, real-world issues counselors encounter and strategies for addressing these challenges in day-to-day practice. Vicki鈥檚 goal is to create a supervision relationship鈥攂oth in group and individual settings鈥攖hat serves as a safe space where students can be vulnerable and bring questions or concerns for discussion. Vicki stresses the importance of both giving and receiving feedback as a vital part of the counseling profession.
